If you have ever experienced prank phone calls you know the danger it can bring to have a ringing phone terrify you anytime even in the middle of the night while asleep. Harassing phone calls are much more troubling because you don't know who's there calling. What if you have access to investigate the hoax callers using his/her phone number and find out their name and address. Perhaps your spouse has been acting suspicious lately by leaving the residence when their cell phone rings. It may be an occasion to do a mobile phone number search of those suspicious call log numbers to find out what may be going on. How To Do A Reverse Phone Search

Have you ever wondered if it is possible to trace cell phone numbers back to their owner just by knowing the number. Luckily, the answer is yes and sometimes you can even do it for free just by doing a simple search online. However if that fails you will probably have to pay for a membership to a reverse phone directory website.

The free way to do it is by simply searching for the number in your favorite search engine such as MSN, Yahoo or Google. You will sometimes find that you will be able to find the name of the person who owns the cell phone number because he or she may have entered their details on a dating site, may have posted classified ads with their phone number in the ad or they may have an account with a social networking site. Remember when your searching to enter your number using a variety of formatting for best results, for example you may search for "555-555-5555" but you may also wish to try "(555)-555-5555".

However this sadly does not work most of the time because a lot of the information people enter online is kept private by most companies for legal reasons. Another reason why you probably would not find the persons name is because most of the cell phone companies choose to keep information on their customers private

The second and more affective way to search for cell phone numbers is by paid membership to a reverse cell phone directory. The advantages of these paid directories is that you will find the number your looking for every time. However some of these directories are very costly and you don't want to pay to much, especially if you only want to find the owner of one cell phone number. However due to heavy competition the prices of these services have lowered dramatically, I myself have seen memberships to these reverse phone directories for as little as $9.90.

The third way is by obtaining an actual reverse directory. These directories can be very hard to obtain and often there are no cell phone numbers in them because most of the cell phone companys don't like to disclose information about their clients. These directories in some countries can be obtained for a small fee and are normally sold on CD-ROM. But you have to be careful because in some countries such as the United States and Australia these directories are considered to be illegal.

So basically you can find some cell phone numbers for free by using search engines but the guaranteed way to find them is to use a paid service. They are cheap and easy and you will get results without fail every time.

A Original Mobile Phone Has A Run At

Palm Pre
Have you hear about the newest all overcomingconquering, smartphone, the Palm Pre? Maybe you have if you are a techie, but otherwise you probably could care less, and that is the issue. The phone is destined for the same fate as the awesome T-Mobile G1. That was also a tremendous phone with new technology and better and badder than the Iphone, yet has failed miserably at dethroning the champ from it’s high loft.

When predicting success of a smartphone, one has to identify what kind of user will buy each type and specific model of handset, and then market directly to those people. You also have to acknowledge that the competition will take away some of your business anyway, whatever kind of phone you have. You also have to contemplate the people that will be willing to fork out the big bucks the type of phone you are going to produce, particularly the business community who is more likely to use a smartphone anyway.

Now, the Palm is strong in business, and the Pre has all kinds of entertainment and productivity features that consumers will like, so it should be a natural seller, right? Not so fast. Business users need more secure phones capable of running proprietary applications and to connect with company databases. This is where phones like the Blackberry and Palm excel. It takes many years to get companies onto these platforms, and it is very painful for them to switch when they do commit, so the Palm users are unlikely to go to Blackberry and vice versa. So, Palm is unlikely to pick up many users from other businesses.

Just like the Iphone failed to live up to its expectations in the business market, the new Palm is unlike to make any headway, especially since Palm as a ongoing concern has seen sales declines over many years and is in a weakened position financially to promote and support it’s phones. In fact, Sprint dealers are remarking that they have not been told to promote the Pre to business customers. So, who else is going to fork out that much for a smartphone that has all those fancy productivity tools, Grandma that wants a phone with only three buttons? I don’t think so.

Sprint is actually trying to sell the old school Treo to business customers, even though sales appear to have dismal. The Pre runs a brand new operation system which may be a challenge to integrate with existing customers, which is a conundrum for businesses which want stability and compatibility. Palm can’t just seem to get it’s act together. So, are consumers ready to pay several hundred dollars for just another Palm that, as far as I can tell, doesn’t have anything special over the Iphone and doesn’t look nearly as slick.

The average purchaser wants simplicity, applications, and a good looking phone they can show off to their friends. Apple obviously beats Palm and anyone else here. Apple has also done a far better job at marketing. So, why can’t the other carriers get their act together, simply copy the Iphone and price it lower? Heaven knows.

How To Call Inexpensively With Skype Communcation Devices

Do you know what Skype is? Do you know you can talk to almost anyone or very little? It has always been a dream of mine to be able to call more cheaply than cellphone rates, and now we have an option. Have you heard of VOIP, voice over internet but didn't know what it was all about? Do you love to talk on your home phone all day long or your cell for business? Do you fee like you have to sell your house to support that habit? Well, no more of that.

Now there is an answer. You may be able to use Skype service to save money. You must have a fast internet connection to use skype, either DSL or cable. Even some cell phones with faster connections, a mobile skype version is also available. Overseas calls are a bit higher, but not too much. It only costs me $.02 cents per minute to call Italy. I had to find a cheaper way to call because I have friends overseas and started using skype years ago. You can also use the service to call from other countries back to the states cheaply.

Skype to other Skype calls are completely free. And anyone who has the service can call you for free. Skype uses your Internet service to make the calls. Most of the calls are just as clear or better than your cell phone, similar to your home phone quality, because they are routed through the internet. In the past you were hooked to your computer with headphones. Those days are now in the past. You can get combination Skype/landline dual phones that switch between functions.

There are even options to have more than one phone line. A member of your family can be gabbing on your landline and you can be talking on the Skype side all at the same time. If you love to talk or you have someone in your family that does, Skype may the answer to your current situation. Unlimited calling in the US and Canada are $2.95 per month. There are no contracts even, which is the best part. If you want to add Mexico the monthly charges go up to $5.95 and unlimited to the world if you don't want to pay per minute are $9.95. what an amazing deal.

Skpe also has features like instant messaging, chats including video, and even voice mail and call forwarding. Only one bad thing, your actual phone number does not show up on the display of the other person, so I have had some people not answer. The pricing for the combination dual phones with an extra phone are very cheap, so might as well look into them. This may be the best solution to calling cheaply to your friends, family, and even other countries.

The Palm Cenetro Mobile Phone Competes Other Competitors

I read quite a bit about this phone before I used it. Quite often they refer to it as an entry level smart phone, which means it is still probably better than a regular cell phone. Despite the misnomer that the Centro is lacking in features, that does not seem to be the case at all. I have the AT&T version, which is the same as any other, which has all the organizer functions of any Palm. For those of you not used to a Palm, those functions include calendar, address book, memos, and to do lists. All those functions have the ability to mark a record as private, and to synchronize with your computer, by either USB or Bluetooth. The Centro has a full keyboard and touch screen input as well. The Centro also has infrared beaming capability, which is useful in sending information from one device to another to send your songs to your friends for free, kind of neat.

The Centro has the functionality to do word type documents, has Google Maps, and a music player. A nice feature is if you have someone's address in contacts, you can map it from the contact and get driving directions to or from another location. You can also open e-mail from contacts, or, from e-mail, choose a contact address. The functions are very functional and useful.

I looked at Blackberries, Palm, and Iphones before deciding on what to get. I didn't like the Blackberry Pearl because it does not have a complete keyboard. I was interested in the Curve, but it is a little larger than the Centro and heftier. I chose the Palm because I had used the operating system for many years, so it was familiar and an easy transition. I also like the size of the Centro and that it is relatively cheap.

As a phone, the clarity is the greatest of any cell I have had so far, so can’t complain there. The size is small enough to easily carry in a shirt pocket, not some huge brick like phone. I really like the full keyboard for typing, even though the letters are not for fat fingered people. There is also a touch screen keyboard if you are into that kind of cool stuff. The camera is decent at 1.3 mega pixels, but obviously not up the Samsung Memoir with 8 megapixels etc. I also like the documents to go function which includes Word, EXCEL, PowerPoint and a pdf reader. E-mail and web functions work pretty well. E-mail and web packages are getting more expensive, but are usually about $25 to $30 per month depending on the carrier. I also like that I don’t have to use the internet (or pay for it) if I don’t want to unlike some other phones.

The Palm operating system is excellent. It really should have sold better than it has. Unfortunately, this may be the last device to use this OS. But with over 2 million Centros sold, it should be around for a while. The phone itself is easy to hold and use and has both a keyboard and a touch screen. I think it is a bit slick for the full keyboard, but you can get tops that help you to hold it better to type. Like the Iphone, there are literally thousands if applications available. For entertainment, I've added Spider, Free Cell and Scrabble. I also have a dictionary at my fingertips. Memory is pretty sparse, with only 128MB of storage to begin with, although it will accommodate a 4 gig micro SD card for music, photos and videos.

Battery life, like any smartphone needs to be improved. If you use voice and data, you will have to charge the phone every day. The only good battery I have ever witnessed is on the blackberry, but even it is not spectacular. So, get a spare backup if you are a heavy user.

In summary, I find the Centro does everything it claims to, and it does them well in a inexpensive and functional package. It is usually available for under $100 with a two year contract. I got mine a bit cheaper because I know someone that worked for AT&T and wanted to get rid of it cheap and without a contract. Although I know some earlier Palm smart phones had issues (that is why T-Mobile no longer carries them), I've had my Centro for quite a while now and have had a good experience with it. It is not as nice as my G1, but a lot cheaper!

Having said that, it’s important that you are cheerful with the phone that you finally determine to purchase because your cell phone goes everywhere with you. There are 3 basic things that you need to research before purchasing cell phones wireless.
The first thing that you should research, is the phone manufacturer. Does the company have a history of producing high-quality wireless handsets that last? Are people normally happy with their decision to purchase products made by that company? These are important questions to get answered prior to buying a particular brand of phone.

The second thing that is important to look at is the features offered by the various phones that you’re comparing.

Lastly, you should price the phones that you’re interested in at a variety of retail outlets, online stores, and also online auctions. Doing some price comparisons will warranty that you don’t get robbed blind on your original cellular phone purchase, and you’ll get a great deal in the process.

How About prepaid wireless cell phones
A consumer magazine has identified the three most important factors in choosing a prepaid wireless cell phones plan. Based on their survey, network quality is the leading characteristic that people look for in prepaid wireless plans. Next to it are pricing and flexibility.

Prepaid wireless companies may conduct business even without having their own cell towers. They do so by buying minutes from traditional wireless carriers. The services they offer may not be that commendable, but people still purchase their services because they can get discounts in several stores.

One advantage of prepaid wireless phone plans is that they do not come with long-term contracts. Some carriers even allow users to refill their prepaid wireless with their credit cards. This way, they can ensure that there will be no interruption in their cell usage.

For people who still cannot decide whether to take benefit of a wireless phone plan or simply settle down for a wireless prepaid service, they can try to look at these two options by using three categories. First, they can compare the charges per minute offered by prepaid and postpaid plans. Calls made using a prepaid plan are usually more expensive. If the user plans to use the call services frequently, it would be better to get a postpaid plan. Next, the owner can also check the coverage areas. Some prepaid plans are expensive when roaming service must be used. Lastly, users should look at the call quality of both postpaid and prepaid plans. While they may be with the same network, postpaid plans usually offer clearer reception than prepaid plans.

Know Cell Phone Features Before Buying

It's not a 21st century gadget. It was developed in 1947 in the form of a car mobile phone. The concept of cellular phone (telefone celular) was produced by Bell Laboratories with the permission of FCC (Federal Communication Commission), and had everything to do with broadcasting and sending a radio or television message out over the airwaves. But there was a scientist, who gave a new shape to the same device. Dr Martin Cooper, a former general manager in Motorola, made the first call on a portable cell phone back in 1973.

The first ever cell phone (telefone celular) was very large and bulky. It almost looked like a radio frequency device. The weight of Motorola's first cell phone was 2 pounds. But now the structure of cell phones has evolved to match the style and comfort of the user. They have shrunk drastically both in size and weight. It is easy to tailor cell phones by choosing its features and functions for one’s comfort. There are phone covers that change the face and design of the device. Various accessories are available such as car chargers, belt clips, phone covers, data cables and etc.

Cell phone (telefone celular) emerged as a device of luxury, but in the fast growing technical world, it plays a much bigger and important role. You can get wireless Internet service through your cell phone, with web and email capability. A cell phone with a mini web browser can help retrieve web emails and chat, etc., while you are on the move. A special kind of browser is used for surfing the net on a small cell phone screen. If internet use is a must, make sure that when buying a cell phone you make the choice for graphic browser capability instead of a text-based browser. Also, if you think you will browse the wireless Internet often, you may want to consider buying a cell phone with a larger than average display size.

There are International websites that allow sending mails, without having a computer. All you need is a basic GPRS enabled mobile phone and you can access your mail on your cell phone (telefone celular) anytime and anywhere. It is no wonder that cell phones have become a bed-side essential for us today, like a bottle of water that we may need any time. It is no longer a device of entertainment. From local weather forecast in the morning to your loved ones good night messages, it keeps you connected all the time.

With cell phones (telefone celular) becoming a device with all the modern technology, its theft is growing across the world. In a survey it was found that in the UK a cell phone is stolen every three minutes. In the United States, the statistics are very similar too. By keeping a note on the IMES identification that each phone has, you can trace a phone, though it's a tedious process. The IMES code is individual to each cell phone, when you lose your phone, you can refer the code to your network provider as well as handset provider and trace back the cell phone, or at least block the applications in the phone. The person who stole the cell phone can't use it after the IMES code is blocked.

Cell phones (telefone celular) have definitely become a very popular consumer electronic product. Not just for plain conversation, but for lots of other purposes. With the availability of internet connection, cell phone as broaden even more its options of uses. Not to mention GPS capability, a life saver for tracking cell phone users who are in emergency situations.

Whether for personal or professional purposes, people just can’t seem to live without cell phone (telefone celular). A luxury item in the early days, now it is a must have item at all times.
